Vandaag staat de langste etappe van de tocht op het spel. 37 km. 10 uur rondzwerven in de uitlopers van de meseta. Het wordt een loodzware dag en kan momenteel eigenlijk geen pap meer zeggen. Naarmate we Leon naderen, begint alles te tanen. De 37 km blijker 42 te zijn en met loodzware benen bereiken we de stadspoorten.

Trop is te veel. En voor de laatste 10 km spoken de Talking Heads door het hoofd. Hoe toepasselijk kan een nummer zijn?
